Breaking Down The Female Fear Of Weights

Looking ‘manly’, low confidence in the gym and the fear of injuries are just three of the factors mentioned when discussing why females have a fear of weightlifting.

“I'm scared of bulking up and looking like a man.”

This is by far the most popular fear.

So many women stick to cardio and never dare to step foot in the weights area for this very reason.

Let's break down this long standing myth and get females back to lifting HEAVY!

Total testosterone levels in men are between 240 to 950 nanograms per deciliter, while the women’s total testosterone levels only range between 8 and 60 nanograms per deciliter.

As you can tell, that’s a pretty big difference. This means it’s much harder, if not impossible, for us to “bulk up” like men naturally.

What is wrong with looking strong?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with bulking and growing muscles. Weight training does not mean in a couple months you are going to be the same size as a bodybuilder, if ever. But, growing muscles can be such a beautiful thing!

Weight training can change your body composition, help you burn fat, and grow your booty! PLUS who doesn't want to feel strong as hell!

Professional women bodybuilders train for years to look the way they do.

It's not only weight training but the intensity, program they follow and often supplement with testosterone and other supplements to achieve these results.

I hope I have inspired you to get to the gym and lift heavy!
